Bembo's Zoo

Working on this typography project with Julia has really inspired me to look into typography more in depth that I ever have before. I'm currently reading 'Thinking with type' by Ellen Lupton, which includes some fascinating examples of typography and answers many questions which I didn't even realise I needed to ask myself. I've also been looking at experimental and flash typography on the Internet in my spare time. One website I've been visiting is Bembo's Zoo , which is flash based (although there is a non-flash version), and it's really light-hearted and fun, especially if you're into typo! Check it out.

Mrs Eaves

So, we were given our briefs for our new projects this term and as I've been researching I have been getting more excited about the possibilities that could be created! I'm currently working with 'Julia' the graphic design team on a typography project, where we have all been given a font to research and really dissect the key elements of the typeface. For the outcome of this project, we will be able to present our font however we like, as long as it successfully portrays the characteristics of our font to someone who may not know anything about typography. So really, the possibilities are endless.

The font we have been given is Mrs Eaves. Here's a quick video I found whilst researching...
